Proposed New Rule R384-418

On January 1, 2020, the Utah Office of Administrative Rules published a proposed new rule R384-418 – Electronic-Cigarette Mandatory Nicotine Warning Signage and Sale Restrictions filed by the Utah Department of Health. The proposed new rule will require all tobacco retailers that choose to sell electronic-cigarette products or electronic-cigarette substances to display mandatory nicotine warning signs and will restrict the sale of flavored electronic-cigarette products and electronic-cigarette substances to age-restricted retail tobacco specialty businesses.

The Utah Department of Health is seeking public comment on the proposed rule until the close of business on Friday February 28, 2020. Please be aware that each comment will receive a written response and will become a part of the public record. UDOH will keep contact information confidential.
